Why does this job exist and why is it critical?
Perform device configurations, include internal operating system & software, servers, network devices.
Troubleshoot cases and tickets escalated from Level 1 Support and perform issue escalation in accordance to defined support model if not able to resolve the case.
To have ownership based on domain of expertise as per on department needs such as, VM, SD-WAN, Support, Infra and Backbone.
To assist other teams on their domain if needed.
To assist management to improve Level 1 SNOC Support Team knowledge/skill
Contribution on department roadmap
Provide guidance to junior for technical or operation issue.
Perform device configurations for security devices like Firewall/SIEM/EDR.
Review customer existing Network or Cyber Security Architectures, perform needs analysis and contributes to design, implementation and integration of Security on premise hardware, software and Cloud solutions.
NOC Level 2 post support flow and troubleshooting.
Good understanding on product Cisco, Mikrotik, Fortinet, Checkpoint and Peplink.
In-dept working knowledge of security assessment tools and log analysis and SIEM tools.
Understand the various types of cyber-attacks and remediation.
Incident response and cybersecurity kill-chain
Various security products such as EDR, Endpoint, SIEM.
Communication – Strong in internal & external communication and coordination to ensure smooth service delivery.
Problem solving & Decision Making – Provide solution which require some interpretation when dealing with expectations. Consider consequences of decisions. Develops solution that address the root cause and prevent recurrence.
Planning & Organizing – Prioritize & accommodate multiple demands & unexpected events, flexible in adjusting individual plans as needed. Able to work under limited supervision to complete non routine tasks/ projects.
