The Business Analyst role is an integral contributor to the Group IT Solution Centre team, as they meet directly with Business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, to potentially any area of the business in Asia. The Business Analyst will need to be professional, able to communicate well and confidently, and be able to represent and manage the customers requirements through to delivery.

Meet with Business to understand new requests, and communicate the high level requirements to the project delivery teams for effort estimation in form of Business Requirements Document (BRD)


Once project initiated, consult and work with business teams to generate detailed business requirements from the initial (approved) BRD. This will include drawing workflows to represent the future To-Be process.

Create business requirements documentation for projects using well defined hierarchy in project tool such as DevOps or Jira.

Lead meetings with the business and present requirements in clear manner for easy consumption of information.

Provide subject matter expertise on Microsoft Power Platforms, regarding what is default / implicit features vs new requirements.

Create wireframe designs and align with the business as part of the requirements understanding.

Manage requirements on the projects in requirements management tool.

Engage with business to refine requirements and achieve signoff.

Create UAT test plans that match the business requirements documentation.

Work with offshore and onshore development teams to ensure the implementation and design matches the business requirements.

Job Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, finance, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and management skills.
  • Ability to independently and manage work delivery on time.
  • Collaborator and willing to work as part of a team.
  • At least 8+ years working as a Business Analysis, including:
    a. Business requirements elicitation, understand complex As-Is scenarios and distilling
    into clear requirements
    b. Requirements analysis and documentation, including understanding of requirements
    traceability and well-defined requirements
    c. Writing process flows in tools and with clear discipline to maintain readability.
    d. Writing UAT test plans and conducting UAT sessions with the business.
    e. Test Case generation and quality control checking
  • At least 8+ years working in IT related disciplines and project delivery, including
    a. Team member of at least three major project deliveries, from initiation to completion.
    b. Experience with project management tools such as SharePoint, DevOps, Jira, Trello,
    and Confluence.
    c. Understand the constructs of projects including providing work breakdown structures,
    estimation, progress tracking, managing risks and issues.
    d. Industry Experience in Insurance and/or Finance preferred.
  • Knowledge required:
    a. Working knowledge of data systems including SQL, relational databases, and
    basic computer science
    b. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office suite
    c. Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Power Platforms not required but preferred.
    d. Data visualization and data analysis experience, for example using PowerBI, not
    required but preferred.
